The restaurant's closure on Mondays and Tuesdays can throw a wrench in your meal plans, especially since nearby dining options are also limited during those days. I found the pool temperature a bit chilly for my taste, and some of the shower fixtures were finicky, making it tough to get a good spray without a fight. I also experienced some chilly nights due to insufficient room heating, which wasn’t ideal.

The stay was delightful, especially since we were there to explore the stunning nearby volcano walking paths. The old volcanic stone architecture in the double room was charming, and we loved the well-kept garden area. Victor was a fantastic host, going out of his way to recommend a wonderful local restaurant when the hotel restaurant was closed. Plus, having a lovely swimming pool to relax in after a day of hiking was a nice touch.

The Mahoh provided a tranquil oasis away from the coastal resorts, with traditionally furnished rooms featuring an exceptionally comfortable bed. The enclosed swimming pool was a highlight, offering a private retreat protected from the wind. A delightful breakfast buffet included fresh rolls, fruit, cereals, and more. The hotel's location facilitated easy access to nearby attractions, making it an excellent choice for independent travellers.
The necessity of a car for exploring the area might be inconvenient for some guests.
